Abstract
Originally all species of Medicago found in Texas were introduced and cultivated for grazing, soil improvement and erosion control. All species here treated are now found wild. The keys are based on specimens in the University of Texas Herbarium and Southern Methodist University Her barium; specimens in the Milwaukee Public Museum were also consulted for study.
