Abstract

Considerable taxonomic work has been published on the grasshoppers of many of the midwestern states, such as that of Hebard on species of South Dakota ('25), Kansas ('31), Minnesota ('32), and Illinois ('34). Also, some work of economic character has been done in each of the mid­western states.
