Abstract

Whitney Dam is located on the Brazos River (river mile 442.4) in Hill and Bosque counties, Texas, approximately 38 river miles upstream from Waco, McLennan County, Texas. The general location of the project is shown on plate 1. The site selected for development is located at river mile 442.4. Three other sites, located at river miles 471.0, 472.8, and 473.2 and designated Alternate Sites Numbered 3, 2, and 1, respectively, are described in this paper.
