Abstract

As a way to test the Standard Model of Physics, the couplings of the Higgs boson to other particles is studied by measuring the production cross-sections of the Higgs boson using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The cross-sections are measured in the \HZZ  decay channel, where $\ell = e, \mu$. Two sets of measurements were performed on increasing amounts of data collected from proton-proton collisions and a center-of-mass energy of 13.6 TeV. The first set of measurements was collected between 2022 and 2023 corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 56 fb$^{-1}$ while the second set adds data collected in 2024 for a total integrated luminosity of 164 fb$^{-1}$. The cross-section of Higgs boson production is measured to be 1.42 $\pm$ 0.16 pb, which is in good agreement with the Standard Model prediction of 1.44 $\pm$ 0.08 pb. The production mode cross-sections measured were gluon-gluon fusion, vector boson fusion, vector boson associated, and top associated productions. These were measured at a cross-section of $1.11 \pm 0.16$ pb, $140 \pm 50$ fb, $130^{+69}_{-52}$ fb, and $12^{+23}_{-16}$ fb, respectively. The production mode cross-sections were also measured differentially in the Simplified Template Cross-Section framework, allowing for further testing of the Standard Model in specific regions of phase space. The measurements are also interpreted in the $\kappa$-framework to probe for Beyond Standard Model effects while still maintaining model independence. Across all measurements and interpretations, no statistically significant deviations from the Standard Model were found.
