Abstract
The mission of the Life-Skills Training Program was to empower by education and equip orphans and street children of Ethiopia by providing them with life-skills training that will enable them to be self-sufficient and secure more job opportunities upon leaving the orphanage. My goal was to make a difference in orphaned and vulnerable children’s life and to equip them for a better life and future whereby their dreams of becoming a doctor, a scientist, an engineer, or an artist becomes a reality.
I worked with Kidane Meheret Children's Home which is an organization that services orphans from 1 day old to 16 years old. The Mission of Kidane Meheret Children’s home is to love, care, and educate children of different ages, tribes and religions. They provide several programs including educational opportunities.
