Abstract

This study compares gifted and unidentified students’ satisfaction with life and perceived meaning in life. This study compares gifted and unidentified students’ self-reported data, answering the question, “Are graduates of a gifted program more satisfied with their lives than students who did not participate in a gifted program?” By self-report measures, undergraduate students completed Diener’s Satisfaction with Life Scale (1985) Steager’s Meaning in Life Questionnaire (2010), and items from Ash and Heubner’s Multidimensional Students’ Life Satisfaction Scale (1994). Through Independent Samples T-Test, correlations between participation in a gifted program and one’s life satisfaction were assessed.
