Abstract
Author of The Religious Right and the Talibanization of America and Constructing Pakistan, Dr. Raja specializes in postcolonial studies, globalization theory, and the study of Islamic cultures and politics. Raja has co-edited two collections of essays, has served on the PMLA Advisory Committee, and has recently won and finished administering a one-million-dollar State Department grant as the Director of the UNT-HUML Partnership, a three year cooperative agreement UNT and the National University of Modern Languages, Pakistan. He is currently working on his next book, Democratic Criticism: Poetics of Incitement and the Muslim Sacred.
